Buddy Deaners

This is a spot for all of the dancers from the Buddy Deane era (1957 - 1964) to meet up and keep in touch. We will try to spotlight our memories and post highlights on upcoming events.

We also will do an "In Memory" page for all the dancers especially Buddy Deane & Arlene Kozak, who have left us.

Just give us a few days to post and update from our Buddy Deane Committee,Hairspray & Friends in Face book. We will link from the Facebook too.

I need to search for someone help with this so if you have time to donate. I would appreciate it.

  1. I have been told in recent years that my biological mother, Rosemary Stevens, was a dancer/regular/semi-regular on The Buddy Deane show. I was wondering if anyone here could confirm or deny that.

Unfortunately she passed away 29 yrs ago, and my grandparents have also passed away, therefore I don't have a direct source to ask.

Some clues - She graduated from Andover Senior High School, in Linthicum MD, in 1964. She was a natural brunette but bleached her hair at some point during high school (it's blond in her senior portrait). She would have stood maybe 5'6" to 5' 8", and was slim. If this rings a bell with anyone, please post back and let me know.

Thanks in advance for any information.

  3. Does anyone remember Buddy Bell? I am trying to find him. I was his girlfriend at that time. I was on the committe at that same time he was. My name was at that time Ellen Fox.

  4. I was honored to be a committe member for the shows last year...and last show. That was one of the hardest days of my life. I left Baltimore shortly thereafter, my only visits were brief. Once I got hold of Larry Miller and another time visited Mike Miller where he was Deejaying in Richmond, Va. I ve lived in Minnesota for the last 41 years and have lost touch with almost everyone I ever knew. But even after all this time thers not a day that goes by that I don t think about those times(especially when I hear music from that era)and of the people who made it so memorable. I only just found this website this evening(too much time on ebay)and I had to take time to comment. Greetings Deaners whether you knew me or not!
